feeling cultured

call me uncultured, or a depraved child, (and i'm actually kinda embarrassed to admit it) but i've never really known the story of the phantom of the opera. sure, i've heard the soundtrack from the broadway musical, and i think i've even seen some kind of wishbone rendition of it back in third or fourth grade. i've never known the plot though. i knew there was a guy who wore a mask because he was really hideous. thats about it. but lucky for me, we had a girl's night out to go see the movie (even though my paper still isn't done). i think it was portrayed quite beautifully...and i'm even feeling cultured. i finally know the story. i couldn't tell you if the movie version or old broadway version of the music was better. but according to the musical experts (that would be anna and colette), the movie version is nothing in comparision to the broadway. i wouldn't know...i have nothing to base an opinion on.

to give you an update on my awesome wound i got on friday playing frisbee, its really turning into something quite beautiful. its kinda like an abstract painting of faint greens, purples, and blues. it hasn't quite bloomed into its full fledge colors yet, but i'm anticipating its nastiness. the cut kinda looks like a cat eye...a red cat eye of course. but the cut has this ring of red around it....quite cool. well, sorry, but i just had to give a description. good luck having sweet dreams after that bedtime story.

you know what, if i can get my hands on a digital camera, i just might. it has to bloom in its full colors first, though.
