you gotta hear these guys...

oh. my. goodness. i went to a graham colton band concert last night. and it was ah-mazing. yes yes. if you heard their music, you'd be really really jealous.

so i've been rocking out to gcb music for like the past month and a half. you've gotta hear these guys. found out yesterday that they were actually in town and playing at the georgia theater last night! yet again, i ditched my date with my paper to have a night out with the girls. it wasn't too hard of a choice....sit and spend another six hours on my paper or go to a concert. my date didn't even have a chance, really. it was unfair. but how much fun was it? i haven't been to that kind of concert before. we got there ridiculously early (like 8ish) thinking they would come on at 9:30. nope. didn't even start until 10:15. but we did get a spot right up next to the stage, which was pretty awesome. they rocked, we sang, and i was happy.

i heard of gcb from a friend of a friend of a friend (that first leg being colette). i decided that i'd support them and buy a cd last night...even got it signed. they're on the bubble, for sure. keep your eye out for them. their new single is "cigarette", which i believe is on the radio in some cities.

okay, now that i'm done with my promotion, i'm going to let a little bit of my stress out. applications are pretty much a done deal, so thats good news. however, that crappy paper is still hanging around (but at least its not due today, like it was originally), which i need to finalize. housing sign ups are today and i have no stinking idea what the heck is going on now with the rooming situation. crappit crappit crappit! thats a big problem, since i suddenly might not have roommates for next year. wonderful. next, becca is supposed to be coming to the retreat today, but we have yet to find a ride for her. great. just what i need.

thankfully, i'm getting away from athens for a little bit this weekend and get the opportunity to relax and get refreshed. we're leaving at 4, but i'm still thinking i'm gonna skip my class that is at 11:15. i need to make sure i've got all these things sorted out before i run out of time. first class i'll miss this semester. be proud.

two bands you should keep your eye on if you like great music: Foolish Things (full length CD due in April) at www.foolishthings.com and Monarch (they're from Pittsburg and they rock!) the CD is "The Grandeur That was Rome"
