home sweet home

i'm making my first trip home since winter break five weeks ago. its kinda strange how fast those five weeks went by...back in the day, if i was gone for a week, it felt like forever. now i'm planning on being far far away at a camp this summer anywhere from six to 11 weeks. strange how things change. i guess you just get accustomed to being away. either that or they dump so much work on you at school that you barely have time to breathe. thats pretty much how the past two weeks have gone, anyway.

the tourturous two weeks are finally over, and i really hope i do mean that. too much stress to meet deadlines and fit everything you need to do and want to do into those 18 hours of each day. not enough sleep. i'm sure you know the drill of the college life. my political science test was a breeze yesterday morning. history of the built environment, now thats another story. after ten hours of studying, i barely had a clue of what some of those questions were asking. crappit. anyway, thats boring.

i hitched a ride to tech yesterday afternoon, the feeling of relief not quite doing its magic on my tired self. last night the 002's buddy jeff and his friend daniel jammed on thier guitars for us and sang some wonderful 90s songs. gotta love the 90s. anyway, it turned out to be like a four hour private concert. i think there were about eight people in the dorm at one point in time.

this morning, i got up to go with christina (or brocco) and becca (celery) to go to their sorority's "tug" practice. figured it would be good for me to get a workout in. man, my legs are killing me now. definately outta shape. we basically alternated sprints and lunges every ten meters or so...lengthwise down the third largest astro turf field in the world. dang. of course, to top it off, we did the electric chair for a total of about ten minutes.

housing drama is still going on. amy and i are trying to transfer to another hall, but our requests aren't mutual or something...even i'm confused about it, so i won't bother to go into details.

my interview for the cbs camp is this afternoon...2ish i think. gosh, things are so confusing right now. i'm at tech and have no clue where i'm supposed to be meeting them. anyway, this one is in person, so its a little more nerve racking than the two phone interviews. so theres a not-so-detailed update of my life. i'll have to write more later about the show tonight, which is why i'm coming home in the first place.
