study theory

is it the 23rd already? well, i've been quite busy and my absence of posts over the last few days reflects that.

theoretically, hard work is supposed to pay off, right? you always think that x many hours in studying is directly related to your grade, y. let's say x= 28. thats quite a bit of study time. one would expect, by the "study theory", that this high of a number would earn a student a very good grade...such as an A. heck, even a B. but no. honors chem disproves this theory. it beats it and leaves it to die. in fact, it replaces the old one with a new one. a new revolutionary theory that shows that countless, worthless hours are invested in studying. in high school, i never studied. i made pretty darn good grades. in college, i decided that studying would be a good thing. seems to not be working. in my experiences, it seems that x is actually indirectly related to y. however, it doesn't take a genious to see the fallacy in this theory. i guess i'm lucky to have passed my third chem exam...with a 70. God only knows what kind of grade i would have gotten if x= 0.

so thats basically what my week was last week. studying. studying. studying. a break, which included watching kill bill (i don't recommend it). studying, studying, studying, studying, ruf, studying, studying...

i've made my first official trip back home. i hitched a ride with whitney in her explorer, ruby. went shopping friday night with kaitlin and my mama. dumped a load of cash into khol's registers. i came out with two sweaters, a pair of dress pants, a dress shirt, and a pair of black heels. i haven't shopped in awhile, so i felt justified. then again, i am going to the ga/fl game next weekend and thats gonna be expensive. christmas is coming up, too. darn it. i think i'm getting a little bit of the empty pockets syndrome. should i return something? nah.

went to the cross country meet this morning to see my girls run. i felt a little bit of an obligation, considering i had promised to go see them run last year and havn't been able to yet. region meet. about time. blame it on all the home football games being stacked at the beginning of the season. anyway, i'm so proud of them...all running under 22...which is incredable. tear. anyway, both our guys and girls took region, so it was awesome.

watched the georgia/arkansas game on our new satalite tv...well, new to me. my entire childhood, we survived with only having five channels. we all go away to college and my parents decide to buy about 900 billion. go figure. its funny how into it i've gotten. go dawgs!
