Malnomatophobia

okay, so i made it up, but is it just me or is there anyone else out there that hates calling people the wrong name? there is just something that is really embarrassing about it. maybe it pride. i had the problem at the beginning of the semester of meeting people and being so ready to say my name that i'd just totally miss their name...or forget their name two seconds after they said it. it was just name overload. anyway, i've played ultimate frisbee with about 83 different people, guys in particular. for some reason, they either catch on really easily or terribly shred my name (for example: janet, jessie, jenny...jeneeba??). anyway, those that do tend to remember my name, i always see around and every time they say "hey jeannine!" all i can say back is "hey! how are you?" its awful because for six weeks now i haven't been able to remember their name and i can't very well now ask, "whats your name again?" crappit. i need something like a yearbook so i can find people and match their names to their faces. that was my spiel for the day.
