its great to be a georgia bulldog!

it was so nice to have fall break. plus that extra hour of sleep we got this morning. oh how refreshing.

so we woke up early saturday morning to depart our not-so-secluded island for jacksonville. tailgate central...known as the largest cocktail party in the world. what a wonderful environment. we arrived around 11 am, so a little early for the drinking crowd, but of course, not for everyone. there were bars set up everywhere. bottomless drafts...way to encourage the fans to drink themselves into a coma...or worse, have then conscience enough to slur profanities at the game. we left before the crowd got too thick. had a $6 hamburger and a $2 12oz coke. crappit. i coulda gotten four liters in atl at that price. oh well. walked about two miles through tailgating. speaking of which, most people were campaigning...you'd be amazed how many georgia fans are republican. its crazy. in that respect, i fit in nicely. i even got myself a bulldogs for Bush sticker.

when colette and i finally found our seats (in the shade! oh yea! really really high...oh man.) we discovered we were sitting within reach of about three of our fellow high school classmates. in a stadium that big with lottery tickets, i found it a little strange. okay, so we were sitting in these temporary seating stands and it was quite breezy, with an under draft. i was wearing my cute little red frilly skirt thing. its lightweight, right. i realize right away that its not gonna work out too well. every time i would stand up, my skirt would blow up like a tutu. not so good. i resorted to tying my skirt in knots by my sides so it wouldn't blow around. looked kinda silly, but oh well. i was able to cheer at least, and that’s what is important. we also ended up sitting next to harris and bo, both from ruf. yea man!

what great fun! we were screaming like crazy the whole time. my throat is a little sore still. it was awesome because exactly half the stadium was red and black and the other half was blue and orange. that gator chomp is annoying. our fans were better...we stood up and yelled the whole game, not just after we got a touchdown. after seven years, we finally beat them gators. i'm looking foreward to at least three more years of that.

oh cool is this. after the game, we were walking along cheering and what not with everyone and some people yell to us to come over. didn't know what they wanted, so we were kinda ignoring them. then i saw a camera and ran over...yea. it was definitely cbs and we definitely got on tv and cheered "its great to be a georgia bulldog!" channel 46. people could have been like, "hey! i know that girl from high school!" anyway, it was awesome and i'm excited about it. we ate at applebee's afterwards. i got to have some ribletts. yay! we also watched the end of the miami game...wtg unc! what an incredible game. that kicker will be quite popular on campus.

packed up this morning, left around 10:30 and we were back by 5:30. not too bad of a drive. i took a little nap. we also found an entire georiga window flag thingie along the road. joe and b.o. had to stop and get it to replace the earlier casualty. quite convenient. sadly, the break has come to a close. its almost 7:30 and since i've gotten back about two hours ago, i haven't gotten any homework done. actually, i haven't gottne any homework done all weekend. crappit. i still have to eat skillet sensations with colette for dinner. stupid closed dining halls.

safely back in a-town with no problems at all. and that is the fall break report.
