and the exam countdown begins...

so here it is, friday, december 10th. its hard to believe its the end of the first semester. crazy madness. doesn't seem like i've been here that long...but then again, it does. the whole university is off today, its reading day and we're all supposed to use this tim to study. well, i just got up about an hour ago...so the day is half over already. now, i have to go eat lunch, which will take another hour, then at 3 pm is the last ruf ultimate frisbee game. so excited! who knows how much actual studying i'll get in. really, i don't have to study for anything except chemistry, which is next friday, which could be the end of my life. english, just gotta brush up on my familiarity of a few essays so i can write a 500 word in-class essay, and sociology is simply the fourth exam, so not too much there.

so last night was the ruf christmas party! i don't understand the meaning behing the sign that said "have a perky christmas" and why there was a visor that said "perky" on top of the oak street guys' see-through christmas tree, and i'm not so sure i wanna know. anyway, we enjoyed hot apple cider, munchies, dance around the living room to mariah carey's merry christmas cd (which i must say is one of my all-time favorites), and chit-chat with folks. colette borrowed some reindeer antlers from bo and and a hard time trying to figure out how to get a red nose. first, she used brown lipstick. she got a lot of smack from people that couldn't figure out what was on her nose. next, she resorted to red frosting. can't be good for the complextion. finally, she got a little round red sticker from the "pin the nose on rudolph" game. i have to say, i missed terribly on poor rudolph's nose placement. anna and colette left around 11 and i chilled some more, since i had nothing really to do today. left with bo and luke and walked to some upperclassmen girls' apartment to play some games. cranium wasn't working out too well and all other game suggestions were shot down. we ended up watching a muppet's christmas carol until 2:15 am, which is why i slept in so late.
