the votes are in and....drumroll....BUSH WINS! okay. fabulous. i am sooooo happy! wow. that was a stressful night last night, but bush managed to stay in the lead for most of it. whew. i was up until two in the morning trying to see if they would decide before i went to bed. i had an 8 am class...so i kinda had to get some form of sleep. megan and i resorted to leaving the tv on all night. yes, just in case some kind of loud celebration came on to wake us up and know our country's fate for the next four years. woke up multiple times between 2 and 7 am. no changes from the night before. ohio was looking good, but none of the networks but fox were willing to call it for him. i was treating the election last night as i would a georgia football game. funny how that is. every time new polls came in, i waited intenly in my seat and cheered and grimmaced at the appropriate times.
anyway, had to make my way through classes (8-11 am) before i could check out to see if bush remained ahead in ohio. as soon as i walked in, the first announcement aired announcing that bush had WON! yea baby! i was so excited that i called my family and told them the news...just in case they hadn't been watching. my mom hadn't seen it cuz she was too afraid to look. she was happy i called and gave her the happy news.
lunchtime is upon me and i have to meet with my fellow republicans for lunch to celebrate :). crappit. i didn't really get to prepare for that english essay for today.
