last game of the regular season

its thursday...of course i'm going to update you on the final flag football season of the regular season. i know. it just isn't long enough (especially when you play the same team twice and one game gets cancelled).

so the team we played tonight...they were she-men. i mean tall, solid, intense players. in their last game, they crushed their opponents 56-0. thats what i mean. they were so cocky.

needless to say, it was hard to not be intimidated...and we managed to not let it get to our heads. they were really really good. by the end of the first half, it was 26-0. them, of course.

so second half we stepped it up a notch. made some awesome passes...and got intercepted a few times. but they only scored one more time secone half. we got our game on eventually. what really made me mad was when we were on the five yard line, first down, and they announce to eachother "let them score" so they could "practice" their goaline defense. what jerks. as if we wouldn't have scored anyway. i think they did it just so they could say "they only scored because we let them." i don't think these letters can express how angry i was about that.

so we gave them a little payback. reverse option. yea, totally fooled the stuffing out of them. with that little number, we took it from their 27 for a touchdown. ha. eat that. we earned that one, too. it was hilarious to watch their faces in shock when they realized the ball was halfway down the field and their pulls at us were all in vain :). love it.

31-12. so it wasn't a victory, but we kept our pride...at least we weren't shut out (and if you want to look at it statistically, we outscored them second half). now off to the tourney.

She-men are scary. You girls are awesome. They may outscore you on the field, but you'll outscore them in life.

And you're right, you won the second half.
