- I started this blog years ago when I was a freshman in college to try to share funny experiences and save them to remember them years down the road. back then i called this blog "snippets of my college life". well, now i'm in the working world, so without disowning past posts of my college experiences, i've renamed my blog "the grown up life". being far away from my georgia home, friends and family can check in and see what married life has entailed for me thus far. 2008 was a big year for me. I graduated from UGA, married Jonathan(who i met through this blog), moved to Winston-Salem, and started working at a small design firm. Much of my time is spent at the church where my husband works, serving the Lord.

Didn't you know this is the latest thing in fashion, to have a tree escort you?
Everybody who's anybody has a tree escort.
Wouldn't that be sad if someone took a picture of you all dressed up for prom and then made the picture caption all about the tree.
why didn't i think of that in high school??
and yes, it would be devestating to know that a tree's bark outshined you in all of your glory.
