if you don't do something about it, it won't happen

have you ever noticed that whenever you decide to take action, whatever you were waiting on suddenly happens?

for instance, you're waiting in the car for someone to run in and get something in the house really quick, but of course, its taking them forever. finally, you decide "thats it" and get out and go get them. but suddenly, there they come. same thing when you decide to call someone to see how far away they are. or when your contract hasn't come in the mail yet and you finally decide to shoot the camp director an e-mail to ask them where the heck it is after "it should be there some time next week" for the third week in a row.

as usual, as soon as i send my e-mail asking what the heck is going on, i decide to go check my mail. and there in my mailbox awaits my contract from cbs. finally! it was mailed february 22. just got here today...march 7th. something has to be wrong with our mail system if it takes two weeks to get here. too bad i already sent that e-mail. oh well. if i had never sent it, it would have never come, right?
