snow day!

well, not so much. it is saturday, so its not like we get the day off from school for weather reasons. and it isn't really snow...more like ice. but hey, can't complain. if you look out the window and everything is white, thats snow down south. even if it is only an inch thick...if even. when you mix ice with southern college students, beware. the entire day was full of slush fights, football in the cold on the quad, slippery walks to eat, and people sledding down brumby beach on cafeteria trays. people are wild, running down the halls and making lots of noise. sadly, i didn't really get to participate in all the day's festivities. megan and i stayed quite cozy here in room 221. too busy spending about 30 minutes researching for a paper i haven't started and spending the remainder of the day doing, what else, applications for summer jobs. nice. we're planning on just popping some pop corn, making hot chocolate, and watching a movie tonight.

come to think of it, at dinner i did notice that there were no more trays in the cafeteria...must have gotten tired of losing their precious trays. everything is closed for the weekend...including church tomorrow morning. and to think that last week we were basking in 65 degree weather...
