christmas shopping for me...

after my two hour car ride, no one was home to greet me. that is the worst...coming home to an empty house. turns out kaitlin wasn't home yet, karl was at some friend's wedding, mom and dad were out to lunch, and becca had run off to the frisbee golf course with youth group kids. i was home for about 20 mins before i ran out the door to join the game. haven't played in months, but i was surprised that i was throwing better than before i had left. must be because of that season with the dominating deuces and ruf.

anyway, becca and her techie roomies were having a get together with all their tech friends and i tagged along so i could have something to do. waited forever for dinner (but it was worth it!), played some ddr (which i am terrible at), got lost on a golf cart ride, stayed up til 2 playing catch phrase (the ultimate college game!), and fell asleep watching a movie around 3:30 am. becca threw the little maltese, lexi, on me at 10 am to wake me up, bringing my grand total of sleep up to 11 hours in two nights. not too good of a start considering it was the first day of break.

did some proof reading with colette and becca to make some extra moolah to buy christmas presents, which i haven't even started buying. makes things a little rushed. decided to go out the the atl to lenox mall to get some shopping in...and traffic was terrific. bumper to bumper, so took about 45 minutes longer than expected. i resorted to playing the license plate game...found 17 states. not too shabby for a half mile stretch of road. turns out they were doing road construction. figures. so the christmas shopping escapade was unsuccessful...for me at least. ended up buying nothing for anyone and buying a pair of jeans for myself. hey, at $15, who can refuse? so, still need to go shopping.

i'm hoping to go visit megan tomorrow night. becca and colette are thinking about coming along as well. i have an idea for what i can get megan for her birthday/christmas...still not sure if i can pull it off though. five days until christmas and i've got nothing. people, i do love you...i just haven't had time.
